Film Festival Saturday in Page

The South Yuba River Citizens League’s (SYRCL) Wild & Scenic Film Festival is coming to Page.

The Glen Canyon Conservancy is hosting this free family friendly event. Eight short films will be featured.

Each film showcases a different story of heartache, hope, perseverance, survival, and inspiration.

Learn what bats have to do to survive; how an 11-year old is helping the Monarch butterflies and what can be done to help them thrive; how a man discovered fishing in an urban area; and reacquaint yourself with the moon and night skies.

The Glen Canyon Conservancy will be holding a fundraising raffle, taking memberships, and giving you the change to adopt a bat!

The Friends of the Library will be there selling light refreshments to help with more programming at the Page Public Library.

The event kicks off at 7:30 pm Saturday June 15th at the John C Page Memorial Park. If the weather is good, and the skies are clear, there will be telescopes provided by the Glen Canyon Conservancy, local astronomers, and the National Park Service Night Sky Rangers to help you see and learn more about the skies above for intermission star gazing.
