Free Fishing Days At Lake Powell June 1 & June 8

This Saturday, The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is celebrating National Fishing & Boating Week by offering license-free fishing at public water areas throughout the state. National Fishing & Boating Week runs June 1 through June 9.

Saturday, June 8 is not a free fishing day in Arizona.

Bag limits and other fishing regulations are in full effect and must be observed during Free Fishing Days.

Kids under 10 years old can fish in Arizona without a license all year long.

AZGFD will also sponsor some free fishing day clinics/events to give people the opportunity to try out this fun, family-oriented pastime. Loaner fishing rods, bait and instruction are provided for free at most of these venues.

Bait is provided and loaner rods are available for fishing events.

Remember: Lake Powell runs through both Arizona and Utah, so be aware of where you are fishing and what the laws are for each state.
