BLM Proposes Increase In Daily Visitors To The Wave

Earlier this month the Bureau of Land Management is looking at changing the number daily visitors to Coyote Buttes North, the location of the geological feature known as "The Wave", from 20 people to 96 people.

The Bureau is seeking the public’s input regarding concerns, access, recreation, opportunities, and more that are relevant to the Bureau’s analysis of this proposed change.

There will be three public scoping meetings in June where you can learn what the BLM is planning and voice your concerns.

The public comment period will run until June 21, 2019.

Public Scoping Meetings:

June 4, 2019: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kanab Middle School, 690 S. Cowboy Way, Kanab, Utah.

June 5, 2019: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Page at Lake Powell, 600 Clubhouse Drive, Page, Arizona.

June 6, 2019: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dixie Convention Center, 1835 South Convention Center Drive, St. George, Utah.
