Johnsonville Recalls Over 48,000 Pounds Of Raw Pork Products Due To Rubber Contamination

Johnsonville has announced that the company is recalling over 48,000 pounds of Johnsonville Grillers Cheddar Cheese & Bacon Flavor that may be contaminated with black rubber.
The items were produced between September 27, 2018 and October 18, 2018 and have "Best Flavor By" dates of 7/24/2019, 8/13/2019, and 8/14/2019. Each bears establishment number 34225 printed on the carton end under the "Best Flavor By" date. The products were shipped to distributors nationwide.
According to the company, there have been no reports of injury associated with the affected product.
The items under recall are:
24-oz. (1.5 lbs.) plastic bag in a carton of frozen “Johnsonville Grillers CHEDDAR CHEESE & BACON FLAVOR” with “Best Flavor By: 7/24/2019” represented on the label.
24-oz. (1.5 lbs.) plastic bag in a carton of frozen “Johnsonville Grillers CHEDDAR CHEESE & BACON FLAVOR” with “Best Flavor By: 8/13/2019” represented on the label.
24-oz. (1.5 lbs.) plastic bag in a carton of frozen “Johnsonville Grillers CHEDDAR CHEESE & BACON FLAVOR” with “Best Flavor By: 8/14/2019” represented on the label.
According to the USDA, the problem was discovered when Johnsonville received three consumer complaints that black rubber was found in the product.
