U by Kotex Tampons Voluntarily Recalled

Kimberly-Clark, the makers of U by Kotex are voluntarily recalling the U by Kotex Sleek Tampons regular absorbency after the company received reports from consumers that the product was unraveling and/or coming apart upon removal. In some cases, users had to seek medical attention to remove pieces that were left in the body.
Additional incidents include infections, vaginal irritation, localized vaginal injury, and other symptoms.
The products were sold across the U.S. and Canada.
According to the company, no other U by Kotex-brand products are subject to the recall. The specific lot number for the recalled product, which is located at the bottom of the box, is NN621201B. The product was made prior to October 16, 2018.
