Page Scores Better Than Most Arizona Schools With School Zone Safety

A new school zone safety report has been released by California-based Zendrive. Zendrive collected information from various phone apps that collect anonymous data on drivers who are speeding, distracted, aggressive, or make sudden starts and stops.

Overall, Arizona scored an ‘F’, along with nine other states. Maricopa county ranked the worst county in the state with an ‘F’ as well. Gila and Greenlee counties were the only counties in Arizona to receive an overall grade of an 'A'. Coconino County fared much better than most of the counties in Arizona with an overall grade of a 'B'.

While most schools around the country received a ‘C’ or worse, Page received a ‘B’.

According to Zendrive, the peak hours for traffic crashes (student drop-off and pick-up) are the most dangerous for students whether they are in a vehicle, walking, or biking to school.

Zendrive has created an interactive map of their results so you can check their data on specific states, counties, and schools. The information also breaks down the leading driving offenses in each school zone.
