After serving on the Page City Council for a total of nine years, Mayor Diak said goodbye to the dais, but not to Page tonight. With elegance he closed the meeting with a very warming thank you.
"I want to thank Council and Staff one more time and the citizens that are here, the citizens that may be at home, citizens that are on LPNN. It has been my pleasure to serve this community. I will still continue to service this community as long as my boots are down and not up. Because I'm out of this seat doesn't mean I won't be in that seat [pointing to the audience chairs] or serving on a board within our community. Because that's what I believe I should be doing. So I thank you for the honor for serving all of Page. Thank you. This is my last meeting."
Thank you Mayor Diak for your years of service on the dais. The citizens of Page owe you our gratitude for what you have done for this city.
