New Mayor for the City of Page

It appears that the City of Page may have a new mayor. As of the last election night tally of the unofficial results of the 2018 General Election, Levi Tappan had enough votes to unseat incumbent Bill Diak. Tappan received a total of 937 votes or 53.67% of the total votes, and Diak received 799 votes, 45.76% of the total votes.

These are currently the unofficial numbers, and they may change between the last election night unofficial results and the unofficial final results. After those are announced, the votes will not be official until the County Elections Department canvasses the vote.

There is a Special Meeting scheduled for Monday, November 26 at 5:30pm at City Hall to canvass the votes, and to swear-in and seat the new council and mayor.

In the race for the Justice of the Peace for Page, incumbent Donald G. Roberts was able to maintain his seat with 2,790 votes equaling 67.54% of the total votes. Michael Barnes received 1321 votes, or 31.98% of the total votes.
