Page PD Officers Complete Tactical Bicycle School

PAGE - Two Page Police Department officers completed the Tactical Bicycle School held in Glendale last month. Detective Cody Miller and Officer Robert Napier, along with 21 other officers from agencies from across the state, attended the week-long program, which covered various techniques related to the use of bicycles on patrol.

Bike patrol officers are able to go places where regular patrol vehicles can’t go and cover distances not practical for foot patrols. Page PD officers will utilize bike patrols during special events, including festivals, parades, and the annual Balloon Regatta. Det. Miller and Ofc. Napier completed their first bike patrol detail this week, patrolling the busiest streets on the evening of Halloween. The new police substation located in the city park is currently being used as a base for all bike patrol operations.

The Page Police Department is continuously working to improve the service we provide to our citizens and will utilize this program to enhance our community policing efforts.
