Encompass Primary Care Closing to General Public

Over the weekend, LPNN was informed that after 7 1/2 years of service, effective November 21, 2018, Encompass will no longer be providing primary care medical services to the general public, and effective immediately, no new general public patients will be accepted.

LPNN was able to obtain a copy of the letter that is being given to patients. According to the letter, Encompass will be going back to their original goal of providing integrated health services for their metal health and substance abuse patients.

Citing financial difficulties with reimbursement rates from insurance companies for individual primary healthcare services outside of integrated care, CEO Joe Wright stated that over the time in providing primary care to the general public, they have yet to break even, and therefore cannot afford to provide medial and chiropractic services to the community as a whole.

Mr. Wright noted that those who are enrolled in Encompass’ behavioral health services, you should not see a change in your medical care.

Mr. Wright also mentioned that they are anticipating Bee Valvo to return to the Encompass team in the near future as well, as she is healing spectacularly from her injuries due to a boating accident in July of this year.

In the letter, Mr. Wright states “It has been a pleasure serving you and your families with quality medical services for almost eight years, and we greatly appreciate your support. I humbly say that it is with great difficulty that I announce this decision and this direction we will be going.”

Those who have questions regarding the closure and any changes, can contact Mr. Wright at 928-645-5113. There are two other primary care facilities here in town: Canyonlands and Banner Page Hospital.

In order to ensure continuity of care for those who are affected by this, please let Encompass know as soon as you have chosen for your new primary care provider, so they can transfer your medical records as soon as possible.
