Two More Explosions In Austin, Texas

As of today, the city of Austin, Texas has experienced a total of three deadly blasts at separate homes.

On March 2, 2018, a package bomb left at a residence detonated, killing a 40-year-old man.

This morning, authorities responded to another explosion, which has been confirmed to have been a package bomb. The explosion killed a 17-year-old boy and injured an unidentified woman. On the heels of a press conference, where Police Chief Brian Manley officially stated authorities believe this morning’s incident and the March 2nd incident are linked, authorities responded to a similar incident at another home, not far from this morning’s explosion.

Authorities are not yet confirming whether this blast is linked with the other two incidents, or what caused the blast. However, an elderly woman, who has not yet been identified, was taken to an area hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Authorities state the packages have been hand-delivered and left near the front door.

No official motive has been identified, however, all motives are being considered.

All three incidents have been in close proximity to one another; the largest distance being between the first explosion on the 2nd and the first explosion this morning being 12 miles apart.
