Today, four charitable organizations in Page were lucky enough to receive donations from the Beta Mu Sorority. The recipient organizations of these donations were: the Page Community Center’s Meal Program, the Powell Museum, C.U.D.D.L.E. Outreach., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 9632.
Marsha Bratcher, the Treasurer for the Beta Mu Sorority, presided over the event. Debbie Winlock accepted the donation for the Community Center’s Meal Program; Kelly Panu accepted the donation on behalf of the Powell Museum; Linda Dodds accepted the donation for C.U.D.D.L.E. Outreach; and Darrel Moore accepted the donation on behalf of VFW Post 9632.
Beta Mu has been a part of the Page community since 1968. Beta Mu is Page's local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International, which is the largest women’s organization in the world.
The ladies of Beta Mu hold annual events such as Christmas in November, where the proceeds for these donations are collected. Each year, the ladies of Beta Mu Sorority review the organizations in Page and have the difficult job of deciding what organizations will receive donations from the Sorority.
Beta Sigma Phi International is a charity and social based sorority. If you want to know more about Beta Sigma Phi International, and how you can get involved and become a member, click here.
