Brian Head 65% Containment

Highway 143 is now open all of the way. Please be careful and keep an eye out for firefighters in the area still working, and do not stop in the roadways, for their safety.

The Brian Head Fire in Utah is at 65% containment, however there is still significant smoke from the remaining areas on fire.

Fallen trees and debris are still a danger in the area and the closures of the forest are still in effect. Be safe out there.

Though there has been significant gains against the fire it is still dangerous out there for all involved.
