Saturday Morning 06/17/2017
Horseshoe Bend:
For being June, the traffic at Horseshoe Bend was surprisingly light at 9 am this morning. The parking lot was only about half full, but many happy visitors were taking in the sites, before the heat of the day made it more difficult.

The City of Page has put up several new signs in the area for your safety, so please take note, and follow their instructions. Especially this weekend since there is a High Heat Warning from Coconino County.
The Roundabout Mcdonalds:

If you were planning on going down to the local McDonald's, be aware, the drive-thru is out of commission. This makes navigating the area interesting and the parking problematic. There will be a full story on the project later, but for now avoid the headache if you can.
Carl Hayden Visitor Center:

The Carl Hayden visitor center front parking area is about 3/4 full and bustling with activity. There is still plenty of parking in the rear of the facility. This would certainly be a day to visit, as a lot of outdoor activities may be hampered due to the heat today.
Main Boat Launch Ramp Wahweap Marina:

The main launch ramp at Wahweap is crowded with everyone trying get onto the lake for the day. Houseboats are being unloaded and traffic is heavy. We would recommend you go to the State Line Launch Ramp where the parking lot looks very full, however traffic on the ramp itself is much less chaotic.

In the distance it looks like the Castle Rock Cut bypass is crowded as well. Stay safe out there.
Traffic in and around Page:
Traffic this Saturday morning is, as usual this time of year, a bit hectic, but lighter than it will be later in the day. Highway 89 is mostly clear minus the occasional house boat you may get stuck behind. Stay safe out there and look twice for motorcycles and pedestrians.
Above all have a great weekend! Stay #hydrated and stay cool.
