Page just keeps growing. There’s a new business in town, and no, it’s not another hotel! The owners of Lake Powell Marine, Trent & Kelly Sutherland have opened Lake Powell Vacations.

They ‘cater to youth of all ages’.

This business is the place to be. As a tourist, or even a local, have you ever wanted to explore off the beaten path, away from the typical tourist traps? There is now a way you can do this, right here in Page.

Lake Powell Vacations which “caters to youth of all ages” according to Christian the Store Manager, officially opened their doors two weeks ago and they specialize in ‘off-the-beaten-track’ services. To start, they offer the normal rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.), however, they also rent floating foam pads; also called lilly pads.

If you haven’t heard of these yet, here’s the scoop. Floating foam pads are buoyant flotation devices that roll-up and roll-out like carpet mats. These pads allow for you and your friends to lounge and float on the water without having to worry about sinking (think very large blow-up lounge beds for the pool). Currently, they are only supplying rentals, but near future plans include sales of kayaks, paddleboards, and more.

Another service Lake Powell Vacations will be offering are guided Jeep and kayak tours. No, these are not your normal tours. Lake Powell Vacations’ goal is to show you what only some locals have seen, like Alstrom Point.

These tours specialize in all locations that other companies do not go to, meaning, very little traffic so you can enjoy the ride and view that much more. The idea of Lake Powell Vacations is to give you a vacation you deserve and want; one that is unique to what you are interested in, rather than a vacation that has been experienced by everyone else.
